Laurie Botstein is a highly qualified speech and language specialist with 30 years of experience providing therapy to persons with mild to high level impairments in the areas of oral, written and auditory communication and cognitive behavior. Her treatment goal for all clients  is to improve quality of life by optimizing an individual’s ability to communicate. Her therapeutic experience includes language, articulation, oro-motor, auditory processing disorders, fluency, the Floortime approach and mastery of reading and math skills.

Laurie graduated from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, with a B.A. in Speech and Hearing Handicapped, and a M.S. in Education of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. Her professional practice includes work at the Atlanta Speech School,  Northside Hospital (Atlanta, GA), Charleston Speech and Hearing Clinic (Charleston, SC), and Lawrence Cerebral Palsy Clinic (Lawrence, MA). She started a private pediatric practice in 1998.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Laurie has made Atlanta her home since 1981 and is an active volunteer in the Atlanta community sitting on multiple boards. Laurie, who has two grown children of her own, works with children needing speech-language and learning therapy in both the school and home environment, and has served as a consultant to many private schools.
